Attendees of Marvel’s San Diego Comic Con Hall-H panel this week will receive this limited edition Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” mini-poster! The best part: this one’s fan-created - don’t we just have the most talented fans?

What is your opinion on remakes? Also, what are your favorite/least favorite remakes? Love this blog, it's amazing!

horror-movie-confessions:

I don’t hate them, I just get so angry when a film is perfect the way it is and should not be touched and then comes out with a shitty remake that just kills the perfection that is the original (I’m looking at you 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street). I get really nervous when they remake originals that again should not be touched like Carrie, Evil Dead, but then I’m pleasantly surprised when I do end up liking them, which I did like both of those but I like the original better. Least favorite remakes that I think should have never been made are of course first and foremost like I said A Nightmare on Elm Street, and maybe even worse than that is the 1998 Psycho like how you make a shot for shot remake so awful still baffles me. But also The Wicker Man, The Hitcher, I really just don’t like Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2, the 2009 Children of the Corn sucks pretty badly too.

Remakes I love would first be Last House on the Left. The 2009 version is one of my top 3 favorite horror movies ever and meanwhile I’m not really a big fan of the original.  The 2008 Prom Night I also prefer, as well as the 2006 remake of When a Stranger Calls. I also love the 2003 Texas Chainsaw remake and that’s probably tied with the 1974 Tobe Hooper version for me.
